The Staybridge Suites PDX is the best hotel near the Portland Airport. The team as accommodating and friendly. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. The shuttle driver on the morning of Monday, October 6th was AMAZING. She was so talkative and friendly and very proud of her hotel and city. The rooms are spacious and the breakfast has a nice spread. You can tell this hotel is military friendly and they display numerous items recognizing the military. Will be back again soon. Thank you to the General Manager, Katherine for helping us with our reservation. « less

My husband and I were delighted with the thoughtfully furnished (tasteful & different) room. The fact that the bed was WONDERFUL too had us wishing we were staying more than just one night! All of this plus the features of a perfect studio apartment - kitchen, dishes & utensils, even a bag of popcorn for the microwave. « less

Stayed here for two - two night stays within the same week and both were the typical great experience that I have come to expect from this property. Once again the staff was wonderful across the board. Front desk, kitchen staff, housekeeping and van drivers were all top drawer. A special thanks goes to Kim and her staff for doing an especially quick turnaround that enabled me to get into my room early, which was of tremendous help to me. Tara was fabulous at handling my requests at the front desk and even taking me on my final transport to the airport. It is staff like her that will keep me coming back to this property. I plan to return for a 10 day stay over the holidays in December and look forward to settling in to my Portland "home away from home" for another great stay. The property is very nice - great sound and light blockage in the rooms and having a kitchen and separate living area really increases the comfort factor - but it is the staff that makes the real difference at this hotel. If you need a place to stay in the Portland area you couldn't make a better choice. « less

We stayed one night at Portland Airport Staybridge. Even though it is an extended stay hotel I usually choose Staybridge over Holiday Inn Express even on one night stays when I can, because I prefer their breakfasts. Staybridge has a much better variety. I also like the spacious one-bedroom suites. Our king suite was typical for a Staybridge, and everything in the room was just fine. Housekeeping did a great job and the room was quiet in spite of the proximity to the airport. I really wish I could continue and say this Staybridge was as good as most of the others I have visited, but unfortunately it had a few missteps. The morning we were there the breakfast needed more attention. We arrived for breakfast about 7:30 AM, and the majority of tables weren’t clean. Several breakfast items were empty, and there were no forks. The (one) bus tub was so full we could barely place our dirty plates into it. There was a second location for trash and bus tub, but a plant was on top of it so we assumed it was not in service. One thing we really liked about the breakfast was the do-it-yourself egg mcMuffins the morning we were there. It was a very nice change of pace from the typical scrambled eggs. It would have been easier to have pre-split English muffins since we didn’t have a sharp knife to cut them, but we managed. My final thought is that this property has so many nice reviews that we are assuming that we were just there on an “off” day. It happens. And it won’t stop us from trying again next time we are in the area. We will definitely give it another chance. « less
